The Christmas season has arrived at St Pancras International. From an 11-metre German-inspired Christmas tree beneath the station roof to seasonal flavours, Taittinger Champagne and festive gatherings at St Pancras Bar & Brasserie, there is plenty to discover this winter.

There is something about Christmas at St Pancras International that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. The familiar sound of trains, the grandeur of the station roof and, now, the arrival of its much-loved Christmas tree. It is one of those London traditions that gives the station a different feel as the festive season begins.

This year, the celebrations come with a distinctly German influence, and at St Pancras Bar & Brasserie, we are bringing a little of that inspiration inside.

A Christmas tree with a story to tell

Standing 11 metres tall beneath the iconic Barlow Shed roof, the 2026 St Pancras International Christmas tree takes its inspiration from the traditional German Christmas pyramid, a much-loved festive decoration with roots in the Erzgebirge region of Germany.

Created in partnership with the German National Tourist Office and Hilton Hotels, the installation celebrates the landscapes, landmarks and Christmas traditions of Germany’s 16 regions.

Three rotating tiers bring the scenes to life, while 24 wooden curiosity windows around the base reveal details of German festive customs and seasonal traditions. From 1 December, the windows will also form a giant Advent calendar, with a new window illuminated each day until Christmas Eve.

It is worth taking a moment to look a little closer. There are plenty of details to discover, whether you are passing through on your way to a train or making a visit to St Pancras International part of your Christmas plans.

Private Events at St Pancras Bar & Brasserie

A German-inspired Christmas at the Brasserie

Just above the station concourse, we have been getting our own festive preparations underway. The Brasserie has had its Christmas makeover, with the warmth and character of the season finding its way into our dining space.

Our à la carte menu will feature chicken schnitzel, while mulled wine will be available to order, perfect after a winter stroll through the station.

For a more casual stop, our Hot Dog & Bubbles offer is another reason to pull up a seat. Enjoy a Classic hot dog, fries and a 125ml glass of Searcys Champagne for £28. A straightforward combination, and a rather good way to take a break from Christmas shopping or the bustle of the station.

Tattinger at St Pancras champagne bar

Taittinger takes centre stage

From mid-November through December, our Champagne Bar welcomes a festive Taittinger takeover, complete with themed decorations that bring a seasonal touch to the space. One of the few Champagne Houses still family-owned and run, Taittinger is now in its fourth generation under Vitalie and Clovis Taittinger. Its elegant, Chardonnay-driven style is central to its identity, with every bottle reflecting a commitment to finesse and purity.

Taittinger is also our Champagne of the Month, with a special Tasting Trio available at £35 per person.

The tasting features three distinct cuvées: Taittinger Brut Réserve NV, Taittinger Prestige Rosé Brut NV and Taittinger Nocturne Sec NV. It is an opportunity to discover their different styles side by side, from the balanced character of the Brut Réserve to the fruit-forward expression of the Prestige Rosé and the softer, richer profile of the Nocturne Sec.

To accompany your tasting, choose from our baked Camembert with confit garlic, rosemary and honey, served with toasted baguette, or our mixed platter of cured meats, cheeses, hummus and crudités, with baguette.

Whether you are familiar with the house or discovering its Champagnes for the first time, our team will be happy to guide you through the tasting. Settle in, take your time and enjoy a little more of the festive atmosphere at St Pancras.

PLAN YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY WITH US

A Christmas party should be about bringing people together, not having to keep an eye on the details.

At St Pancras Bar & Brasserie, Dhebora, our Sales & Events Manager, is here to take care of the planning, so you can focus on welcoming your guests and enjoying the evening. She can help you choose the right space, talk through the menus and drinks options, and bring together the details that make the occasion feel personal.

With our restaurant and bar teams looking after the food and drinks, there is no need to worry about guests being left waiting for a drink or wondering when the next course is coming. Everyone can settle in, enjoy good food, raise a glass and take in the festive atmosphere of St Pancras.

Our Champagne Bar is available for private hire. With a front-row view of this year’s Christmas tree at St Pancras International, it makes a memorable setting for a festive drinks reception or an evening with colleagues and friends.

The Brasserie can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner or 400 for a standing reception. Christmas dining packages start from £50 per person, with options up to £100 per person.

For exclusive private hire events confirmed by November 15th 2026, we are also offering a complimentary bubbles reception, with one glass per guest on arrival.

Take a look through our Christmas brochure for the menus and event options, then speak to our events team. We would be delighted to hear what you have in mind and help make it happen.
